So...how did Jason and I get engaged? We lived in the Rexor building on 18th and 3rd in Stevens Square (Minneapolis). I think we had gotten into a fight and emotions were at a peak. Jason was in the little room with the balcony (which was switched back and forth from a bedroom to a living room when we were bored with the current arrangement). He said that he just could not pretend that we were married anymore. The first thought that popped into my mind was "oh man, we're breaking up, aren't we". But instead he asked me to marry him. Then we planned a date a few weeks out, went and bought a few rings, and got married. Those in attendance at the wedding were our Bishop (Chris Patrick from the Minneapolis Ward), my dad and my friend Elizabeth, Jason's mom and his little sister. We kept it to just a few people, and alot of people were upset. But it allowed us to focus on getting married rather than all of the other details. Then a few months later we had an outdoor reception at Hidden Falls Park in St Paul. Crush Collision Trio played for us, and we all had a great time.
In August of 2007 we were finally sealed in the Temple to each other and Lijah.
