Crystal Pool

I was in a meeting today at work and I caught a whiff of something that totally reminded me of standing at the concession stand at the Crystal pool when I was little. It made me think of some memories of the pool, mostly scattered memories. So I'll list what comes to mind, and maybe expand later.....

1. I loved buying banana flips at the concession stand at the pool
2. The eating area had rounded metal tables painted turquoise - but they had been faded by the sun and I remember the tables being bumpy (but the bumps painted over), and there would be bird poop in the area from all the birds eating the dropped popcorn.
3. Speaking of poop, I remember when a kid did poop in the shallow end of the pool
4. My sister and her friends used to hang out by the deep end of the pool - I specifically remember them having a boom box with them and a bunch of skater boys hanging around them
5. One time I was running along the edge when I slipped and fell right onto my tailbone
6. Inside the shower house we had to put our clothes into metal baskets and check them in - I think we got a safety pin with our number
7. There was a squigee thing to ring out out swimsuits and towels when we were done
